Monk doesn't need much health. I would go for the superior runes. Remember that they don't stack
I wasted allot of money on that. You get the health penalty, but not the extra skills.

It really depends on the build in PvP, to be honest. Monks are often priority number one when it comes to who the enemy wants to smash, so any sort of defenses on them are good.

If the metagame is all spikes, then using a minor over a superior rune can be a very good thing. It's all a matter of analyzing your current situation and adapting. I don't think there's really a one size fits all answer here.

Also, I'm fairly certain that Infuse monks should use a minor rune, since the extra health translates into a larger heal.

I'd say that in PvE and PvP you'd go for minors in general. In PvE enemies go after those with the weakest armor and least health; running around with Superiors paints yourself as a huge target. (Unless you're a 55 monk, in which case you want that.) In PvP people like to beat on Monks, so generally you go with Minors for more health. If you're using a PvE character, however, you can use armor swaps to take advantage of both by switching as needed.

I know that. I'd go after the monk too. You can't see the monk's build, so you always go after the monk. If you want a fast kill, go after the monk and see if the team mates care
Once you are hitting on me, and I have no skills to block you, I am dead meat, no matter how much life I have. By using superior skills, I might be able to absorb some of the damage. When that doesn't work, I will start begging GW for some teleport skills
